Urinal Installation Process
1. Preparation
- Check wall height and mark centreline and bottom level of urinal.
- Ideal height (centre of bowl):
- Adults: 610–650 mm (24–26 in) from floor
- Children: 450–500 mm
2.Bracket Fixing
- Mark the bracket/hanger bolt positions on the wall.
- Drill holes and fix with wall plugs and screws or bolts.
- Brackets must be level and firmly secured.
3. Water Supply Connection
- Install flush valve or sensor system at recommended height (around 100–150 mm above urinal).
- Connect it to the water inlet pipe using PTFE tape and wrench.
4. Waste Outlet Setup
- Ensure the waste pipe (PVC or CPVC) is at correct height and slope.
- Use appropriate trap (bottle trap or P-trap) connected to drainage.
- Apply PVC solvent cement at joints.
5. Urinal Mounting
- Hang or fix the urinal onto the brackets or hanger bolts.
- Ensure it fits flush against the wall and aligns with the waste pipe.
6. Sealing & Testing
- Apply silicone sealant around the edges.
- Turn on the water supply.
- Test flush, check for leaks at:
- Inlet connection
- Flush valve
- Outlet pipe
