Table Top Basin

Table Top Basin Installation Process

1. Cut Hole in the Countertop

  • Mark the centre of the countertop.
  • Drill a drain hole (usually 45–60 mm in diameter) where the basin will sit.
  • For semi-recessed basins, cut a larger hole as per template.

2. Position the Basin

  • Place the basin on the countertop to ensure fit.
  • Make sure it’s centred and aligned with faucet hole (if applicable).
  • Mark around the base if needed.

3. Apply Sealant

  • Apply a ring of silicone sealant around the hole on the countertop.
  • This helps prevent water seepage under the basin.

4. Install the Basin

  • Gently press the basin down over the sealant ring.
  • Wipe off excess sealant for a clean finish.
  • Let the silicone cure for a few hours.

5. Fix the Waste Outlet

  • Insert the waste coupling from inside the basin and fix the nut from below.
  • Use PTFE tape to prevent leakage.
  • Attach the bottle trap or P-trap to the waste pipe.

6. Connect the Water Supply

  • Fix angle valves to wall water inlets.
  • Connect flexible hoses from the valves to the basin faucet.
  • If using a deck-mounted faucet, install it before placing the basin.

7. Test & Finish

  • Turn on the water supply.
  • Check all connections for leaks.
  • Clean the countertop and polish the basin for a finished look.
