Wall-Mounted Wash Basin Installation Process
1. Marking the Wall
- Measure and mark the centreline of the basin.
- Recommended height: 80–85 cm from the finished floor to the top edge.
- Mark the bracket/bolt positions on the wall.
2. Fixing Wall Brackets
- Drill holes at the marked points.
- Insert wall plugs and fix brackets or hanger bolts securely using screws.
- Use a spirit level to ensure proper alignment.
3. Mounting the Basin
- Place the basin on the brackets or fix it onto hanger bolts.
- Ensure the basin is level and stable.
- Apply white cement or silicone behind the basin (optional) for extra grip.
4. Connecting the Waste Outlet
- Insert the waste coupling into the basin drain hole.
- Connect the bottle trap or P-trap to the outlet and wall drain pipe.
- Use PTFE tape or rubber washers to ensure a leak-proof connection.
5. Connecting Water Supply
- Fix angle valves to the wall inlets.
- Connect flexible pipes from valves to basin taps.
- Ensure hot and cold lines are connected correctly.
6. Final Checks & Finishing
- Open water supply and check for leaks.
- Apply silicone sealant around the basin if needed.
- Clean the area and make sure all fittings are tight and secure.
