WC Toilet Installation Process
1. Preparation
- Ensure floor outlet (S-trap or P-trap) is correctly aligned.
- Water supply and drainage lines should be tested and clean.
- Confirm the centre distance of the outlet and fixing points as per toilet design.
2. Marking & Drilling
- Position the WC on the floor to check alignment with the outlet.
- Mark fixing holes through the toilet base.
- Remove the toilet and drill holes for anchor bolts (usually 10mm).
3. Fixing the Trap
- Apply PVC solvent cement to the trap (P or S) and connect it securely to the outlet.
- Ensure the trap is aligned with the toilet pan.
4. Placing the WC Pan
- Place the WC pan over the trap ensuring it fits tightly.
- Insert rubber or wax ring if needed for seal.
- Align it with the bolt holes and fix it using anchor bolts.
- Tighten carefully without cracking the ceramic.
5. Water Connection
- Connect the flush tank inlet to the water supply using a flexible hose.
- For concealed or flush-valve systems, ensure proper alignment with the flush pipe.
6. Sealing
- Apply silicone sealant or white cement around the base to prevent water leakage and pests.
7. Testing
- Open water supply.
- Test flushing system and check for leaks at:
- Water inlet
- Flush connection
- Drain outlet
- Check toilet is stable and doesn't wobble.
