Indian Pan Toilet Installation Process
1.Surface Preparation
- Ensure the floor area is clean, level, and dry.
- Mark the position of the drain outlet and the centreline of the pan.
- Create a base with a concrete or brick support bed.
2. Trap Installation
- Fit an S-trap to the floor drain.
- Apply PVC solvent cement on joints.
- Ensure proper slope for drainage.
3. Pan Placement
- Place the ceramic pan over the trap.
- Check alignment and level.
- Use a rubber gasket or sealing compound between the pan and trap.
4. Fixing the Pan
- Fill the space around the base with cement mortar (1:4 mix).
- Smooth the surface and slightly slope the floor toward the pan for proper drainage.
5. Water Connection
- Provide a tap with a hose or flush valve beside the pan.
- For a flushing cistern, connect the pipe to the pan inlet.
6. Final Finishing
- After drying, apply white cement or silicone around the edges for neat sealing.
- Tile around the pan if needed.
- Check for leaks and proper drainage.
